Go through the Boot Camp install process as normal, it will load all the drivers that are compatible. It turns out the Boot Camp Assistant downloads a version of the drivers that are incompatible with my particular combination of hardware.Īpple's own support article here is wrong, claiming that you only need to use BCA for Win7 圆4 and the late 2014 Retina iMac. Tried installing the keyboard driver direct off the USB key. Selecting the Fn key options does absolutely nothing, pressing + or just with either setting only ever activates not volume control. From within BCCP I can alter the attributes of my Apple wireless trackpad. Boot Camp Control Panel is loaded under Windows. Installed Windows as per the proper instructions. This includes trying each of the three steps in BCA one at a time as recommended in another thread. Downloaded the support files through Boot Camp Assistant onto a USB key. I can't for the life of me get the Function keys to adjust brightness and volume working under Win7. I had been running Windows 8 via Boot Camp but recently decided to downgrade to Win 7 Home Premium 圆4. From there I just paired as default on MS Windows 7 and this fixed the problem.įunny enough, Ubuntu does not show the same problem, I rebooted the machine once more and the mouse was still paired and working.I have a Late 2014 Retina iMac with wireless keyboard. The battery LED on the top of the mouse started to flash green and red. I then attempted to reset the mouse by turning it off, then turning it back on and then holding down the bluetooth button for 10s. I then thought that maybe if the mouse recalls that it is paired with the PC and tries to connect but the PC doesn't see the mouse paired and tries to pair then the solution would be to completely reset the mouse.

A few times, Windows would apparently recognize it and prompt me to enter the pairing code, but then it would time out after a couple of seconds (not long enough to enter the code). The keyboard, in particular, was hard to get set up. So while my problem is solved, I'd still like to get an "answer" as to why trial-and-error seems to be the only approach.

I am trying to pair with my Bluetooth Mighty Mouse and Apple wireless keyboard under Windows, but whenever I try to do so, here's what happens: I have Windows 7 64-bit running on a MacBook Pro in a Boot Camp partition.
